The great crime at Minab School has called human rights missions into question

According to Mehr News Agency, the US crime of targeting the Shajre Tayyiba School in Minab city in the early days of the joint military aggression with the Zionist regime against Iran is a fragment of the reality of American human rights.

This crime, which was widely condemned internationally, is a continuation of the crimes that the Zionist regime is committing against children in the countries of the region.

In this regard, Asker Jalalian, Deputy Minister of Justice for Human Rights and Secretary of the National Authority for Children's Rights, stated: In order to prevent this crime from being repeated not only in Iran but throughout the world, its official and coordinated condemnation in the global arena is necessary.

Jalalian said: The US and the Zionist regime launched a brutal attack against Iran on March 21, 1404, and following the numerous attacks by these two actors on different regions of the country, various human rights violations occurred; One of the most disturbing events that is considered a serious wound to the human rights and children's rights movement is the attack on a school in Minab.

The Secretary of the National Authority for Children's Rights stated that 168 innocent children were martyred as a result of the US attack on the Shajre Tayyiba School in Minab City. He said: The Minister of Justice, as the Chairman of the Coordination Council of the National Authority for Children's Rights, drafted and sent a letter to the Regional Director of UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Agency) in this regard; this letter was submitted to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on March 9 to be delivered to the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa through diplomatic channels; in this letter, the Minister of Justice thanked the aforementioned mission in Tehran for its very appropriate, timely and logical action, and requested the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa to condemn this brutal and inhumane act and to officially make this statement of position.

He continued: "This letter states that the various provisions and articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, especially provisions one and four of Article 38 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, emphasize that if war breaks out between countries for any reason, the parties must take all measures to ensure that children are not harmed and their rights are not violated."

The Deputy Minister of Justice for Human Rights said: I believe that the attack on the Minab School is a stain on the American human rights and interpreted the American interpretation of human rights for the world. This crime is a big question mark in front of the missions of the Human Rights Committee of the Human Rights Council, and the countries of the region must definitely declare their position against this crime. In addition, the UN Human Rights Committee, which is managed by the Human Rights Council, must definitely declare their position and condemn this barbaric act so that we do not witness the repetition of such events neither in the territorial area of the Islamic Republic of Iran nor in the territorial area of other countries and such events do not repeat.

Regarding the numerous violations of the rights of Iranian children following the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against our country, Jalalian said: The crime of the Minab School is part of the crime that is being committed against Iranian children; this crime has been introduced and described more prominently in the media; in this unequal war, children are the silent victims of the crimes of the Zionist regime and the United States; Attacks occurred in various parts of the country, leaving many children martyred, injured, and even missing.

The Secretary of the National Authority for Children's Rights continued: "Some children are still under the rubble, because the volume of rubble in some areas is so great that it is not yet possible to remove the rubble."

He said: "As stated in various articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, children have the right to education, peace and security, and serious and practical measures to ensure that their rights to health and medical care are not violated; in the military aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran, the right to education of children has been denied, and the country's schools have been closed due to the attacks of the United States and the Zionist regime; at the same time, in this brutal act, the right to security and peace of Iranian children has been violated."

Jalalian emphasized: "The important right of Iranian children to medical treatment was also violated during the attacks of the United States and the Zionist regime; with the attacks that the Zionist regime carried out on medical centers and hospitals, the right to medical care and health of Iranian children was violated."

The Secretary of the National Authority for Children's Rights emphasized: "We hope that the Committee on the Rights of the Child of the Human Rights Council will seriously address this issue, condemn the criminals responsible for these crimes, and take measures to ensure that such crimes do not occur in Iran or in any other country."
