The Leader of the Revolution emphasized: In these times, when the savagery of the dominance system—particularly that of the criminal US government and the fake Zionist regime—is running rampant, power derived from knowledge combined with piety serves as a shield that keeps their aggressive hands away from humanity.

According to the political correspondent of Fars News Agency, the message from the Supreme Leader of the Revolution on the occasion of the reopening of schools and universities has been released.

The text of the message is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

"Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees."

The dawn of the new academic year and the reopening of the houses of knowledge and culture—schools and universities—herald vitality, hope, and the nation’s rapid movement toward a bright and glorious future. It is a future whose realization lies in the capable hands of Iran’s dear children—those nurtured by the school of Islam and the Islamic Revolution. They are the very generation in whom the Great Khomeini and the Exalted Khamenei—may their noble souls rest in peace—have repeatedly expressed their hope.

Now, as the gateway to a new academic year opens for the vast multitude of schoolchildren and university students, and as seekers of knowledge and wisdom embark—relying on Divine success—upon a new phase of acquiring learning, insight, and skills, it is fitting that we join grieving mothers and fathers in once again honoring the memory of the students martyred during the recent Imposed War. This year, the memorable days marking the start of the academic year awaken in us a sense of sorrow over the absence of our departed children. The empty seats left by certain students, professors, and teachers in schools and universities will be keenly felt; this grief will direct our minds toward the true nature of the conflict between good and evil, and the struggle between truth and falsehood.

The responsibility facing today’s students is to equip themselves with knowledge and piety, hope and ethics, wisdom and capability, and to dispel the veils of ignorance and darkness. In doing so, by pushing the boundaries of knowledge and conquering its peaks of progress, they will fulfill their historic mission to elevate Islamic Iran.

This vital endeavor takes place in a setting considered their "second home." Therefore, I urge these dear young people to safeguard this environment with the utmost care. By continuously enhancing your awareness and insight, and by elevating your conduct and character, transform this place into a hub of progress for your homeland. Seize the opportunity provided by your years in this sanctuary of knowledge, culture, vitality, and hope to foster personal growth—growth in the most essential aspect of human life: your connection with the Almighty Creator; growth in your relationships with fellow human beings, compatriots, and family; and growth through the acquisition of knowledge and diverse skills.

During this time, practice sound thinking and initiative, and remain steadfast guardians of the roots of your national identity, your honor, your cultural independence, your mother tongue, the sacred flag of the Islamic system, and all its other symbols. The time will soon come for you to find your fitting role in society—a role in which, by performing at your best, you will bring honor to both yourself and your country.

In these times, as the savagery of the hegemonic system—particularly that of the criminal US government and the illegitimate Zionist regime—runs rampant, knowledge-based power, coupled with piety and ethics, serves as both an impenetrable shield and a keen-edged sword, severing the aggressors' grasp upon humanity.

You now attend classes where—not long before you—other generations sat at those very desks; generations that are now forging honor and might for Islamic Iran across various fronts in defense of the homeland and its dignity. They shall serve as your role models and guiding lights, just as those who preceded them in these same classrooms stand as exemplars of self-sacrifice, symbols of the nation’s greatness, and legends of human nobility.

A final word regarding teachers and professors: we all owe a debt of gratitude to the educators who guided us at every stage of our schooling. This cherished and beloved group—who are often met with the purest affection from their students—deserves universal respect and honor in all settings and at all times. The dignity and contentment they typically display should not lead officials to be complacent about their current livelihood; rather, it is hoped that through wise planning, effective efforts will be made to improve their circumstances—especially given that this matter transcends mere legal obligation and is, in truth, a calling that springs from the heart. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon the professors, teachers, university students, and school pupils who were martyred during the Imposed War—foremost among them our wise leader and exalted mentor (may God elevate his noble station), who played a pivotal role in the country’s remarkable scientific advancement. Gratitude goes to all educators, teachers, and professors in the realms of knowledge and faith; and congratulations and a warm welcome to every single student of the Iranian nation—may they have a blessed future. It is hoped that, through the auspicious prayers of our Master (may God hasten his noble reappearance), they will achieve ever-greater success in scaling the peaks of knowledge, refinement, and progress—God willing.
