In the south of Damascus in Syria, the most famous place that has been suggested as the burial place of Hazrat Zainab (S), the daughter of Imam Ali (AS).
The tomb of Hazrat Zainab in Egypt and the Baqi cemetery in Madinah are two other places that are believed to be the burial place of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH).
This place in Syria is considered one of the Shiite shrines. The area where the shrine of Hazrat Zainab (pbuh) is located is called Al-Saidah Zainab town and is known as "Zainbiyah".
Hazrat Zainab's shrine has been renovated and developed throughout history. Since 2012, with the escalation of the crisis in Syria and the widespread presence of Takfiri terrorists in this country, this shrine was seriously attacked several times, as a result of which some parts of the shrine were damaged.
Following these actions, various groups went to Syria to defend the shrines of Ahl al-Bayt (AS). These groups, known as the defenders of the shrine, were able to prevent terrorist groups from entering the Zainabiyah area.
