Leader’s Eid Sermon: Nuclear accord speaks of Iran’s right and might

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, during his sermons after leading the Eid al-Fitr Prayer in Tehran on Saturday morning, said bitter developments have taken place in the region in the blessed month of Ramadhan, and as a result of enemy pots, the Muslim people have experienced tough and difficult days.

The Leader, touching on nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 group, thanked Iranian officials involved in the lengthy nuclear negotiations, saying that irrespective of whether the proposed text would be approved or not; the relentless efforts of the Iranian negotiating team are praiseworthy.

He made it clear that Iran will never give in to the demands of the enemies and will not allow the principled stance of the sacred Islamic system, concerning its defensive capabilities to be harmed, by the plots of the enemies against its security.

Ayatollah Khamenei told millions of worshippers, amid cheers of Allaho Akbar (God is Greatest) that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to support the popular movements in Yemen, Palestine, Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

He reiterated that irrespective of the nuclear accord, Iran’s policy toward the arrogant and distrustful US will not change, and as repeated earlier, Tehran doesn’t negotiate with Washington on international topics that are of national importance.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said there are irreconcilable differencesbetween Iran and the US, which accuses Lebanon’s national resistance movement of terrorism, while supporting the criminal Zionist entity; now, how can negotiations take place whenWashington adopts such policies?

He went on to remind that as of the victory of Islamic Revolution, five US presidents have dreamt of bringing Iran to its knees, but to no avail.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the six world powers have finally acknowledged Iran’s right to use thousands of centrifuges and the continuation of research and development on nuclear know-how, which in turn manifests the might of the Iranian nation.

He said the US alleges that it has forced Iran to stop building atomic weapons, while the fact of the matter is that the Islamic Republic never had a weapons-oriented nuclear programme since Islam forbids manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.
