Lebanese resistance fighter Samir Quntar has been assassinated in an apparent Zionist regime’s strike on his home in southern Syria.
According to Press TV, two Syrians were also reportedly killed in the attack, which struck Quntar’s home in the city of Jaramana on Damascus countryside.
Twelve are said to have been injured. Quntar, who had been in Zionist regime’s detention for around 29 years, was released back in 2008 as part of a prisoner swap between Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement and Tel Aviv.
He was once Lebanon’s longest serving prisoner in Zionist regime’s prisons.
Quntar was a Druze member of the Palestine Liberation Front. He was also a spokesman for Hamas.
