“Muslim without affection for Ahlul Bayt (AS) has no faith.” Sunni cleric

Molavi Abdullah Hassan Zehi, Sunni prayer leader of Hamoun County in Sistan and Baluchistan Province in an interview with Iranian Okhovat (fraternity e-magazine), highlighted the special respect of the Sunni community for Shia Imams and household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) calling that a part of belief for a Sunni Muslim.

He said,” A Sunni Muslim who has no affection for the household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has no faith.” and added that the respect for Ahlul Bayt (AS) is mandatory because that is a manifest of true belief.

Manager of Sunni seminary in Hamoun County noted,” Ahlul Bayt (AS) particularly Imam Ali (AS), are among the only people who are admitted and respected by all Islamic denominations; hence, these figures can be set as ideological and academic axes of unity among all Muslims.”

Sunni cleric referred to the present chaotic situation in the world of Islam and stressed unity to be set as the main path and number one priority for all Muslims.

Molavi Abdullah Hassan Zehi referred to the remarks by the Supreme Leader regarding necessity of solidarity among Muslims and said,” He who pursues ways to disperse Muslims or rise Shia and Sunni Muslims against each other is in fact an enemy of Islam.” touching upon Al Qaeda and Daesh as examples enemies who kill followers of other Islamic denominations.

Manager of Sunni seminary in Iran denounced excommunication and said, ”Daesh and Al Qaeda have no scientific background or reasons for their claims and their rejection of Islamic denominations is due to a superficial view on Islam.”

He also criticized some satellite channels for excommunication of Shia or Sunni Islam and said had these channels have the least rationality behind their claims, they would have worth it to be discussed but they are no more than blind groups who behead anyone against them be it Shia or Sunni.
