Iran, Oman firm to boost all-out relations: Zarif
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has described Iran-Oman relations as exemplary, saying Tehran and Muscat are keen to expand relations in various fields to contribute to regional and international peace and security.

According to Press TV, speaking at a joint press conference with Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah in Tehran on Saturday, Zarif added that Iran considers no limits to the expansion of relations with Oman in all sectors.

“Oman is a good and reliable partner for the Islamic Republic of Iran and we will maintain these relations in all fields, which will be beneficial to the region and international peace and security,” the Iranian minister said.

He added that the current visit by the Omani foreign minister to Tehran shows that the two sides attach significance to promotion of cooperation, particularly in trade, commercial and economic fields as well as joint investment.

During the Omani delegation’s trip, the two countries’ officials would discuss ways to open a new chapter in broad, cordial and fraternal cooperation, he said.

Zarif added that Iran and Oman will carry out short-, medium- and long-term projects.

He noted that bilateral and multilateral cooperation as well as regional issues were discussed in talks with his Omani counterpart.

Iran and Oman have "exemplary and exceptional" ties in the region and the Iranian government and nation hail Muscat’s active role in mutual, regional and multilateral relations, Zarif said.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, Abdullah arrived in Tehran on Saturday morning for an official two-day visit to hold talks with senior Iranian officials.
