Quran Teacher Training Course to Be Held in Indonesia

The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine is going to organize the 15th edition of a Quran teacher training course in Indonesia.

According to Qaaf news agency, Mohammad Baqer Mansouri, director of the Astan’s branch in Jakarta, said that 16 university students and teachers from different provinces of the Southeast Asian country have registered to take the course.

Theoretical and practical lessons on Quran recitation, memorization of some Surahs of the Quran, and Sowt and Lahn principles will be the themes of the course.

The capital city of Jakarta will host the Quranic educational program for 8 days.

Mansouri added that the Indonesia branch of the Astan has organized the Quranic courses in the past few years with the aim of disseminating the Quranic culture in the region.

It has so far succeeded to train a large number of Quran teachers who are experts of Quran recitation and memorization, the official said.
