The head of the Hajj headquarters of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company announced the dispatch of more than 87 thousand pilgrims in the 2024 Hajj operations and said: "Pilgrims will leave for the land of revelation from May 13, and the departure operation will continue until June 7."

Mohammad Hossein Ajilian said: "During this year's Hajj operation, 87,550 pilgrims to the House of God will travel from Iran to Saudi Arabia, and this operation will be carried out while 58,621 pilgrims will be sent through airports owned by the Airports Company." Stating that 18 airports under the ownership of the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company are responsible for Hajj operations, he added: "Ahvaz, Sari, Yazd, Kerman, Rasht, Ardabil, Tabriz, Zanjan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Isfahan, Zahedan, Bandar Abbas, Birjand, Urmia, Bushehr, Gorgan and Hamadan as airports under the ownership of Airports Company and Imam Khomeini (RA), Qeshm and Chabahar airports as airports not owned by Airports Company will be ready to serve the pilgrims of God's House. The head of the Hajj Tamattu Headquarters of the Airports Company stated that the return operation of the pilgrims to the House of God will begin on July 1st and said: "Pilgrims from the provinces of Tehran, Semnan, Qazvin, Qom, Lorestan, Alborz, Markazi, Kermanshah and Kashan through Imam Khomeini Airport. Pilgrims from Kohgiluyeh and Boyar Ahmad provinces will depart from Shiraz airport, pilgrims from North Khorasan province will depart from Mashhad airport, pilgrims from Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces will depart from Isfahan airport, and pilgrims from Kurdistan province will depart for the land of revelation through Hamedan airport. According to the public relations announcement of the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, Ajilian said that with the announcement of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, a limited number of these pilgrims will go to Mecca and Medina on a 10-day trip before the start of the Hajj operation. Referring to the readiness of designated Hajj airports to hold this operation as well as possible, he said: "Pilgrims are going to Saudi Arabia by the Islamic Republic of Iran and Meraj Airlines, and the airports are obliged to eliminate any deficiencies and factors that cause pilgrims to stop before the Hajj operation." and go with full preparation to welcome this big operation.
