Leader remarks get wide coverage in Pakistani media

Islamabad – The remarks of Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that Islamic Republic of Iran would 'resist the pressures' of Western powers got wide coverage in Pakistani newspapers on Tuesday.

Pakistani Daily Times quoted Leader as saying, “sanctions imposed on Iran by our enemies will not have any impact on our nation.”

Daily ‘Express Tribune’ another major newspaper reported that Leader said that Tehran will not bow to sanctions.

“While the Iranian people have travelled the road to success and see the signs of new victories to come, the Western oppressor is trying to frighten the Iranian people and officials by brandishing the threat of sanctions,” he said.

Daily Business Recorder reported that Leader has said that the Islamic republic of Iran would 'resist the pressures' of Western powers.

‘The News’, a leading newspaper said that Leader says his country will challenge any Western sanctions or pressures designed to stop Tehran's peaceful nuclear program.

The newspaper quoted the Leader of Islamic Revolution as saying Iran will not falter in the face of Western-imposed sanctions.
