A seminar on “Hajj in Qur’an and Sunnah” will be held on August 25 and 26 at Islamic-Cultural Center of India in New Delhi.
According to ABNA, the two-day program will be held by Iran's Cultural Center in cooperation with Hajj Committee of India.
It will be attended by a number of Muslim scholars and intellectuals from Iran and India.
The opening ceremony of the seminar will be addressed by Salman Khurshid, Minister of Minority Affairs in India, Mrs. Mohsina Kidwai, Chairperson of the Hajj Committee in Delhi, Serajuddin Qureshi, head of India Islamic-Cultural Center, Maulana Abdullah Mughaisi, head of India’s National Council, Seyyed Mahdi Nabizadeh, and Iranian ambassador to New Delhi.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ghazi Asghar, representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Hajj affairs and Baqeri, international deputy of the Leader’s representative office as well as a number of scientific, cultural and religious figures will also present speeches at the ceremony.
Officials in Hajj affairs from various states of India and eminent Indian figures who will be dispatched to Hajj pilgrimage this year will be also in attendance at the seminar.
About 40 researchers and intellectuals from the two countries will present their papers at four specialized sessions of the program.
