First space surveillance site inaugurated in Iran

Iran’s defence minister informed of opening the first site for space surveillance and launching of the first explorer carrying a living creature to the space concurrent with the 34th anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

 

According to IRNA, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said on Monday that in the ten Days of Dawn (marking the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution) the full-scale space observatory called “Imam Sadeq Observatory” will be inaugurated as the first site of space surveillance.

Brigadier General Vahidi added that launching the explorer carrying living creature and opening the flying site in the space will be among other programs of the defence ministry during the determined time.

Iranian defence minister also informed of unveiling a new fighter during the Ten Days of Dawn which has been fully produced by the Iranian specialists and technicians.
