Pakistanis have staged an anti-US demonstration in Punjab Province to protest against the killing of innocent civilians by US drone attacks.
According to Press TV, the major protest rally took place in the city of Multan where demonstrators chanted slogans against the US. Reports say similar protests were also held in other towns and cities of Punjab on Sunday.
This comes after at least three people were killed and many others wounded in an attack carried out by a US assassination drone in the Pakistani tribal region of North Waziristan on July 13.
The drone fired two missiles -- one into a compound and another at two people riding a motorcycle -- in the village of Mossaki outside of Mir Ali, one of the main towns in North Waziristan, killing three people.
This comes as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently blasted US assassination drone strikes in his country, describing them as a violation of international law and the UN charter.
