Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has expressed confidence that the Iraqi army and volunteer fighters will recapture all areas in the country from Takfiri terrorists soon.
According to Press TV, in a message to his Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari on Tuesday, Zarif congratulated the Iraqi government and nation on the full liberation of the strategic city of Ramadi from the grips of Takfiri terrorist group.
The Iranian minister expressed confidence that unity, national cohesion and bravery of the Iraqi armed forces and popular forces, including Shias, Sunnis and Kurds, will lead to the liberation of other areas in Iraq from Takfiri terrorists in the near future.
In a televised statement on Monday, Iraqi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Rasool declared that the city of Ramadi, the capital of the western province of Anbar, has been "fully liberated" from Daesh.
The liberation of Ramadi, where the Iraqi flag was raised on Monday over government buildings, marks a key victory against Takfiri terrorists.
