Zionist troops have attacked Palestinian demonstrators who had gathered outside Ofer Prison in the occupied West Bank and went on hunger strike.
According to Press TV, the incident took place in the city of Ramallah on Tuesday, where about 60 Palestinian activists began an open-ended hunger strike one day earlier to show solidarity with Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli regime jails who are on hunger strike.
Protesters expressed anger about the conditions under which Palestinians are held at Ofer Prison and other Israeli detention facilities.
Muhannad Abu-Gosh, one of the strike organizers, said on Monday that the move was to express support for the prisoners and “raise their morale and to raise awareness of the Palestinian political detainees.”
