Iran, best country for freedom of religions

Siamak More Sadeq, representative of the Jewish community in Iran’s Parliament, said a person elected from the religious minority does not represent his own religious fellows, rather he is the representative of all Iranians, reported  TNA .

Jewish MP referred to Islamic Republic of Iran as the most liberal country in regards to different religions and said,” None of the religions in Iran are restricted to practice their religious ceremonies and this proves respect of the Iranian government for all religions.”

He said,” Each 300’000 people are represented by a representative even the communities with much less population have their own representative and this shows tolerance of the Islamic Republic of Iran in reaction to different religions.” Adding,” This respect for religious minorities in Iran is the brainchild of deep religious beliefs and in the western countries it is the result of secularism and irreligiousness.”

According to the Jewish MP the high capacity of Iran’s constitution shows the tendency of law for participation of all Iranians in affairs of the country and that is the reason for specification of a seat for all religions in the Parliament.

Siamak More Sadeq touched upon responsibility of the media and NGO’s to cover the facts on lives of religious minorities in Iran and said,” Life of the religious minorities in Iran can be set as the example for all Iranians because they have proved that a person can maintain both his beliefs and respect values.”
