Tehran – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is passing through a critical phase with the enemies using all their capacities against the Islamic Republic.
Salehi, who was addressing a meeting of Iranian diplomats at the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, said the enemies of Iran's Islamic establishment have resorted to diplomatic and economic pressure, security challenges and 'soft warfare'.
These attempts are aimed at creating distress inside the country and tension in the diplomatic relations of the Islamic Republic, he said at the conference which was also attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The Iranian foreign minister highlighted the significance of discussing the recent regional and global developments in the determination of the country's strategic and diplomatic approach during the conference, dubbed as “Diplomacy and Islamic Awakening.”
