"Islamic Awakening in region a political earthquake"

Tehran – Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani described the Islamic Awakening in the Middle East and North Africa as a political earthquake.

According to IRNA, he said if the current Islamic movements spread further, it will leave almost nothings for the Arab rulers of the region.

Larijani made the remarks in meeting of Iranian ambassadors abroad at the Foreign Ministry building in Tehran.

He said 'We have heard news, views and analyses of the movements taking place in the region over the last few months with some claiming that the movements are directed by the US and West.

“The analyses claim it is a road map by the West to create that Great Middle East because the Islamic movements are uncontrollable and therefore the West has to take a preemptive measures to control them,' Larijani said.

Larijani made it clear that they are undoubtedly Islamic Awakening movements that no power can control it.
