“Syria being revenged for Islamic awakening”
Tehran – Tehran Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Khatami said it is clear that Syria is being revenged for Islamic awakening.
According to IRNA, Ayatollah Khatami said Iran supports reforms in Syria and believes that any kind of foreign interference in that country will make situations critical.
He added that Syria is paying the price for its great resilience against the Zionist regime.
The ayatollah stressed that the Syrian government is resisting strongly against these plots and has popular support.
He underlined that hegemonic powers, Arab reactionary governments and Saudi Arabia should know that interference in Syria will light a fire which will burns them, too.
