Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei here Monday slammed the Western governments’ stance on the recent blasphemous acts against Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“The position the Western politicians adopted on this great insult was in no way different from a position of animosity,” said Ayatollah Khamenei addressing the officials of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the West’s position on the sacrilegious acts against Islam has revealed the real face of the arrogant powers and indicated their enmity towards Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Leader lauded the furious reactions shown by Muslims in various Islamic countries and even across the U.S. and Europe against the sacrilegious U.S. movie and French cartoons.
“The seething movement of the Muslim world in paying homage to Islam’s Prophet (PBUP) and expressing deep hatred against the enemies, is a wonderful and very important scene which demonstrates the enormous capacity of the Islamic Ummah’s movement,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The Leader urged the Islamic Ummah to exercise vigilance in the face of the enemies’ dangerous plots aimed at sowing discord among Muslims.
“The arrogance front should not be allowed to save itself from the fury of the Islamic Ummah by sowing discord among Muslims,” Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
“The enemies of religion and arrogant powers should know that despite the different denominations and some theoretical and ideological differences, the Islamic Ummah is united against them,” the Leader added.
The Leader also said the unity on the axis of the Holy Prophet and disavowal of the Prophet’s enemies should be the routine practice of pilgrims during Hajj rituals.
Ayatollah Khamenei said this year’s Hajj is exceptional and different from the previous ones, adding the proper reflection of the Ummah's unity and Muslims’ deep hatred of the global arrogance should be displayed in Hajj.
The Leader said the move by the global arrogance and its allies in insulting Holy Prophet of Islam shows their deep animosity, hostility and hatred of the Prophet.
The Leader said Muslims of all sects and persuasions, whether Shia or Sunni, hardliner or moderate, should come to the scene, because the Prophet is the axis of divine and Islamic ideology.
Ayatollah Khamenei said all Muslims should support the Prophet’s cause of monotheism, Islam and the Qur'an and use Hajj rituals as an opportunity to show their love for him.
The Leader warned Muslims against dangerous plots to divide them, saying the enemies should know that Muslims, despite their differences of opinion and sect, are standing united against them.
