TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday lambasted the world's arrogant powers for their hegemonic attitude towards other countries, saying bullying powers disrupt security in different parts of the world in quest of more interests.

"If you want more money, you can become rich through other ways; why are you seeking your welfare in others' insecurity? Ahmadinejad said, addressing arrogant powers as he spoke to people in the city of Basharouyeh in the Southern Khorasan province.

"Arrogant governments see their progress in the backwardness of other nations and also their welfare in insecurity of others," the president said.

Ahmadinejad called on the arrogant countries to change their way of life, saying the oppressive behavior of the world arrogant powers is the result of a rule of the unfaithful over certain states and that the only way to save those countries is to move towards spiritual values.

Ahmadinejad said measures by U.S. capitalists are the root cause of all woes in the world, adding they are waging wars and sowing discord among nations in order to plunder other nations' wealth.

"All such warmongering moves and destruction of countries are carrying out with the purpose of gaining more interests," he said.

The president further blamed superpowers for attempting to rob nations of their wealth, saying no power can obstruct the path of a united people to progress.

"The world's tyrants, by relying on evil powers and desires, seek to massacre and dominate nations, and also so plunder their possessions," Ahmadinejad told a large crowd of people in the city of Nehbandan.

“The enemies cannot hinder the progress of nations,” he stated.

Ahmadinejad said world powers engage in wars, produce weapons and plunder the wealth of nations in their futile attempt to find calm and security.

The president dismissed U.S.-led efforts to undermine the sovereignty of Iran through hurling accusations at the Iranian nation.

On October 11, the U.S. Justice Department accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Saudi Arabian Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir, with help from a man suspected of being a member of a Mexican drug cartel.

Tehran refuted the allegation, arguing the media hype created by Washington was an attempt to deflect international attention from the anti-corruption and anti-corporatism protests in the U.S.

“Accusing the Iranian nation will not help them achieve their goals,” the president said, stressing that such moves could not stop Iran from making progress in various fields.

He said the U.S. and its allies sow discord and provoke terrorism wherever they go.

“You (Americans) are guilty and must stand trial. Don't think that you can influence the court against the Iranian nation,” the Iranian official warned.

President Ahmadinejad also said the Iranian nation, as the most liberated nation in the world, would never let any global power impose its will on it.

Addressing a large group of local people in the eastern city of Sarayan, the president noted that Iranian nation is invincible.

"Uncultured capitalists who rule over global centers try to control world nations," he said.

"In East Asia, there are some countries with high standards of living but when their life is analyzed it becomes clear that they are serving their uncultured masters through assisting them to manufacture arms to massacre and loot other countries in the world," he said.
