In this meeting which was held on the verge of November 4 that marks the national day of struggle against Global Arrogance, the Leader of Islamic Revolution noted that the current juncture in time is the period in which the national honor and dignity is cemented. The Leader added that the main point is to realize and understand this fact that the campaign of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian nation against Global Arrogance is not an illogical move and is in fact a resistance and steadfastness which is rooted in wisdom and experience.

In further remarks, the Leader of Islamic Revolution referred to important developments in Iran’s history such as the nationalization of Iran’s oil industry and the 1953 coup in Iran, while naming maintenance of trust in the US as the historical mistake of the then Iranian premier, Dr. Mohammad Mosaddeq. In order to counter Britain, Mosaddeq relied on the US. Such negligence set the stage for the success of American-British coup in the year 1953 in Iran. This coup wasted the efforts of Iranian nation in nationalization of the oil industry and revived the despotic Pahlavi regime.

The enmity of the US emerged as of the very beginning of the victory of Islamic Revolution. The US, in a phase in time, spied on the Islamic Iran via its embassy in Tehran, while plotting to somehow topple the sacred Islamic system. In another phase in time, the US maintained an unwavering support for the invasive regime of Saddam Hussein throughout the eight-year imposed war, while also backing separatist and anti-revolutionary moves. In the wake of the utter failure of these plots, the US mounted political pressure, and imposed illegal sanctions against Islamic Iran.

Given these facts, the Leader of Islamic Revolution slammed those who wittingly or unwittingly intend to pretend that the US no longer masterminds conspiracies against Iran. The Leader underscored that the goal of such sinister efforts is to conceal the true nature of the enemy, so that the US would secretively continue its animosities.

The US is Iran’s arch enemy. The layers of this hostility have become more evident with the passage of time. Six decades of the US meddlesome policies and enmities has shown that the US continues to insist on its hostile goals against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The stands and allegations of the US officials show that they continue their hostility toward the Iranian nation and the sacred Islamic system. Hence, the Iranian nation still distrusts the US.
