Guardian: Iran war has pushed Trump to the brink

The Guardian: The US president has created a gap in his base by taking actions such as starting an unfinished war against Iran, fueling inflation and insulting Christians.

Many Trump supporters are unhappy with their vote. Lance Johnson is one of them. He voted for Donald Trump three times, but now feels regret. The 47-year-old contractor said that “we were not supposed to start another war. Prices were supposed to come down. We were made a lot of promises that we are not going to keep.”

Lance Johnson is not the only voter who is unhappy with the performance of his country’s president. A number of other Americans have also expressed their dissatisfaction with Trump. Trump has made things even more difficult for himself over the past two weeks with his comments against the Pope.

The past two weeks have been the most damaging period of Trump’s presidency; He has insulted the Pope in the past two weeks and posted an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus Christ on social media.

Trump also lost a court case against the Wall Street Journal over the Jeffrey Epstein case, and his bid to endorse Hungarian politician Viktor Orbán for president was blocked.

Trump is now grappling with rising fuel prices after starting an unpopular war with Iran and is looking for a way out.

A Democratic majority in either chamber could launch an investigation into the Trump administration, stripping him of many of his legal powers.
