Senior Iranian Official: No Negotiations on Nuclear Program

A senior Iranian official, in an interview with the Reuters news agency, emphasized that Iran will not negotiate regarding its nuclear program until the United States addresses its demands.

The official further clarified that the meeting in Tehran—involving member states of the "Mecca Pact"—will not address Iran's nuclear program.

The quadrilateral meeting in Tehran, initiated by Pakistan with the support and cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, commenced this evening, Monday.

Major General Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, is hosting the meeting. The participating delegations include Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan; Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia; and Ibrahim Kalin, head of Turkey’s intelligence agency.

Key topics for discussion at the meeting include regional security, the consequences of military aggression, the continuation of acts of aggression, and providing aid to the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon.
