وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ
سوره غافر (40)

Your Lord has said, ‘Call Me, and I will hear you!’ Indeed those who are disdainful of My worship will enter hell in utter humiliation

"Prayer" itself is a type of worship, because the word worship is applied to it under the verse, and at the same time, it is a severe threat to those who refrain from praying: "Those who are arrogant about my worship will soon come with humiliation." will go to hell"

In a narration from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), it is stated that: "There is a position in the sight of God that cannot be reached except through prayer and supplication, and if a servant closes his mouth from supplication and does not ask for anything, nothing will be given to him, after Ask God to be granted to you, because if you knock on any door and insist, it will be opened."
