CNN: US faces missile shortage in another war

The US military has used up at least 45% of its stock of precision-guided missiles (PrSM) in the war with Iran.

 

At least 50% of the THAAD missiles, which are designed to intercept ballistic missiles, have been used.

 

Nearly 50% of the Patriot air defense missile stockpile has been depleted.

 

Nearly 30% of the Tomahawk cruise missile stockpile has been depleted.

 

More than 20% of the JASSM stockpile has been used.

 

Nearly 20% of the SM-3 and SM-6 missiles have also been fired.

 

Experts told CNN that even with increased production capacity, it will take 3 to 5 years to replace these systems.
