Hamas: Netanyahu is deliberately violating the Gaza agreement

Hamas, stating that the Israeli Prime Minister does not want to implement the Gaza agreement, said that the new massacre in Gaza indicates a deliberate escalation of tensions.

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" said on Tuesday evening that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is deliberately violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, Hamas, while emphasizing its commitment to the full implementation of the Gaza agreement, called on Washington and mediators to force the Israeli regime to implement it.

According to the "Anadolu" news agency, the statement said: "The new massacre of the terrorist occupying army against innocent civilians in the Gaza port indicates a clear act of aggression and a deliberate escalation of bloodshed."

The statement was issued in response to the Israeli airstrike on a cafe in the Gaza City port, in which six Palestinians, including a child, were martyred and many were injured.

Hamas continued: “This attack demonstrates the determination of the criminal, war-mongering Netanyahu cabinet to continue its crimes and undermine all efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and advance the implementation of the agreement.”

The movement then stated: “The timing of this crime, especially after the recent Cairo meetings and the efforts of the mediators, confirms without a doubt Netanyahu’s deliberate attempt to sabotage the negotiation efforts.”

The statement continued: “Netanyahu is deliberately undermining regional and international efforts aimed at advancing the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s plan and the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement.”

Hamas considered such attacks a clear challenge to efforts aimed at stopping the escalation of tensions and achieving security and stability in the region.

The movement added: “In contrast, Hamas and other Palestinian groups reiterate their seriousness and responsibility in their efforts to ensure the success of the agreement.”
