Al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib (Arabic: الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب) was born in Sha'ban 3. He is known as Abu 'Abd Allah and Sayyid al-Shuhada'. The third Shi'a Imam was martyred in the Battle of Karbala after ten years of Imamate. He was the second son of Imam 'Ali(a) and Lady Fatima (a), and the grandson of the Holy Prophet (s).
At his birth, the Prophet (s) foretold the story of his martyrdom and named him al-Husayn. The Prophet (s) introduced him and his older brother, Imam al-Hasan (a), as the Masters of the Youth of Paradise. The last messenger of Allah loved (al-Hasanayn) and instructed people to love them as well. Al-Husayn (a) is one of the Ashab al-Kisa', one of the participants of the Mubahala, and one of the Ahl al-Bayt (a) about whom al-Tathir Verse is revealed. A large number of hadiths narrated directly from the Prophet Muhammad (s) add more to the distinctive status of al-Husayn (a).

Famine threatens the Palestinians in Gaza
At a press conference on Wednesday, UN secretary-general’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric stressed that since the beginning of the current Israeli war on the Palestinian territory in early October, the world body has warned about severe food shortages there.
“Four months since the escalation of hostilities, OCHA (UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) is warning that in Gaza, severe food shortages, a breakdown in health services and inadequate facilities for water, sanitation and hygiene are putting children under the age of 5, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women, at increased risk of malnutrition,” he said.
In his daily update, Dujarric also warned that the risk of malnutrition is particularly high for some 300,000 people in northern Gaza who have been largely cut off from humanitarian assistance.
Citing the World Food Programme, OCHA has reported that the amount of humanitarian aid reaching Gaza City in the north is “not enough to prevent a famine”, as the last time the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) managed to distribute food in the north of the territory was on January 23.

Father’s Name – Khawailad Ibn Asad
Mother’s Name – Fatima
Death – 10th Ramadhan, two years before Hijra at the age of 65 Years

This noble lady, known to us as Mother of the Believers (Ummul Momineen) and the first wife of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw), was the first person ever to accept Islam after it had been revealed to him by Jibreel (Angel Gabriel).
Lady Khadija (sa) was one of the greatest women of the world and her rank is as high as the great Mary/Maryam the mother of Prophet Jesus/Isa (pbuh). Prophet Muhammad (saw) says about her: “Four greatest women of the world are: Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, Mary bint Emran and Asiya bint Muzahim, the wife of Pharaoh.”
Khadija tul Kubra (sa), combined in her person all those attribute, which add up to perfection. Malikatul Arab was the ideal woman, the ideal wife for the Seal of Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (saw), and the ideal mother.
As the saying goes “Islam did not rise except through Ali’s sword and Khadija’s wealth.” Let us take a peep into the life of this blessed lady and hope to understand her enormous contribution to Islam.
After the death of her father Khuwaylid, Lady Khadija (sa) took charge of the family business, and as a result, it rapidly expanded. With the profits she made, Lady Khadija (sa) helped the poor, the widows, the orphans, the sick and the disabled. If there were any poor girls, Lady Khadija (sa) married them off, and gave them dowry.
Lady Khadijah (sa) has collected more “firsts” in the history of nascent Islam than anyone else. She was the first wife of the last messenger of Allah. She was the first woman Believer. She was the very first mortal to declare that the Creator was only One, and that Muhammad (saw) was His Messenger. The glory and honor of being the first woman believer in the whole world, is hers to all eternity.
The rise of Islamism in Tik Tok
According to the report of the British newspaper Daily Mail, many American women have announced their decision to convert to Islam in response to Israel's war in Palestine on the Tik Tok network. This report quotes one of the new young Muslims as saying: "Israel's relentless use of force in Gaza has been a factor in my acceptance of Islam." Megan B. Rice, a 34-year-old from Chicago, used Tik Tok to describe the humanitarian crisis in Gaza at the same time as the bombing of Gaza, and then declared her interest in Islam by reading the Quran. Rice said in this connection that "I wanted to talk about the faith of the Palestinian people, how this faith is so strong and they still put gratitude to God first, even when everything has been taken from them." She recently confirmed her conversion to Islam. Some other famous people also recently published their experiences on TikTok by showing a copy of the Quran and covering their hair and expressed their solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Why did the people of the world become interested in the Quran after the Gaza war?
In a report by the Guardian, Zarina Grewal, an associate professor at Yale University in London, said that "people do not turn to the Quran to understand the October 7 attack by Hamas, but they turn to the Qur'an bring them to understand the resistance, faith, moral strength and incredible character they see in Palestinians." The Guardian added that during the past month, videos with the hash tag Quran Book Club (quranbookclub) had up to 1.9 million views. Also, "Misha Yusuf", a Pakistani writer in America, says about the interest of Westerners in reading the Quran: "In the Quran, men and women are equal before God, and some activists of feminism consider the interpretations of the Quran as the basis of their beliefs.”Also, the existence of scientific explanations for creation and verses in the Quran that cover the big bang and other theories have made non-Muslims interested in reading the Quran in the West."
