رحمة للعالمین

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President's Chief of Staff Mahmoud Vaezi said on Wednesday that Tehran will take the fourth step to further modify its nuclear deal undertakings if Europeans keep failing to deliver on their promises.

"A committee is studying the fourth step," Vaezi told reporters in Tehran today.

He added that Iran "will take the fourth step in due time" if what the country seeks does not happen during talks and meetings before the two-month deadline after the third step.

In relevant remarks earlier in October, Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi announced that only two other steps had remained for his country to end the nuclear deal undertakings if the Europeans still continue insistence on not meeting Tehran's demands.

“Only two more steps will end all of Iran’s JCPOA undertakings and will return the country to the pre-JCPOA conditions,” Kamalvandi said in an interview with the state TV.

“As soon as the Fordow nuclear site comes into operation for uranium enrichment and the number of centrifuge machines rises, Iran will practically have no more commitments to the JCPOA and only the monitoring issues will remain,” he noted.

Kamalvandi added that Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium and the number of centrifuge machines are growing and the Europeans and the US are concerned about reduction of the Islamic Republic's JCPOA commitments.

“Thanks to the pressure of world major powers, we are able to easily manufacture the best centrifuges,” he said, adding that Iran would have faced many problems, including in the pharmaceutical industry, without progress in the nuclear industry over the past decades.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi also said earlier this month that his country had devised plans and was getting ready for undertaking its next step of scaling down commitments under the nuclear deal of 2015, officially known as the JCPOA.

"Iran has prepared the required plans for the fourth step of scaling back its JCPOA commitments," Mousavi said, adding that the 4th step is most likely to be undertaken as the European signatories of the agreement are unable to deliver on their promises without a prior permission issued by the US President Donald Trump.

“Europeans have not been successful to meet their JCPOA commitments and have tied all of their decisions and measure to Trump’s confirmation,” he said, adding, “Iran has its own plan and its own predictions and if the Europeans remain impotent, Iran will take the fourth step.”

Tehran has rowed back on its nuclear commitments three times in compliance with articles 26 and 36 of the 2015 deal.

Iran says its reciprocal measures will be reversible as soon as Europe finds practical ways to shield the Iranian economy from unilateral US sanctions which were imposed last year when President Donald Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal.

Iran observes all U.S. ships in the Gulf region and has an archive of images of their daily movements, the head of Iran's navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, said on Tuesday, according to the Young Journalists Club news site.
"We observe all enemy ships, particularly America, point-by-point from their origin until the moment they enter the region," Khanzadi said, noting that images were recorded using Iranian drones. "We have complete images and a large archive of the daily and moment-by-moment traffic of the coalition forces and America."
Iran and the United States came to the brink of war last month after the Islamic Republic shot down a U.S. drone, nearly prompting a retaliatory attack which U.S. President Donald Trump called off at the last minute.

The Leader made the remarks in the graduation ceremony of Army cadets at Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Academy in Tehran on Wednesday.

Ayatollah Khamenei described insecurity as “the biggest damage” a country could suffer, warning against plots being pursued by the enemies to rob regional countries of security.

The elements behind such “dangerous hostilities” are known, said the Leader, adding that “the US and the Western intelligence services, financed by certain reactionary countries of the region, are behind such incidents.”

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in reference to the latest bout of violent protests that have gripped Iraq and Lebanon for several weeks.

The Leader said the Iraqi and Lebanese nations need to remain vigilant and realize that the enemies in fact intend to disrupt the domestic laws and create a vacuum in those states, advising people in both countries to follow up on their demands through legal channels.

“The top priority for them is to overcome insecurity,” Ayatollah Khamenei said, in an address to those who are concerned for the well-being of the people of Iraq and Lebanon.

The Leader recalled that Iran had been the target of similar conspiracies in the past, but that the country managed to thwart those plots thanks to the nation’s vigilance and the preparedness of Armed Forces.

Ayatollah Khamenei further advised the Iranian nation and Armed Forces against putting their trust in the enemy, and asked them to constantly monitor all the enemy's moves.

The Armed Forces should also be careful about “sedition” and stand prepared to confront it, the Leader added.

Arbaeen walk, a momentous phenomenon

It is the time of Arbaeen: a good time for those who are in the middle of their walk or those who will participate in the walk--joining the Arbaeen pilgrimage--for reciting the beautiful ziarat of the day of Arbaeen, God Willing, addressing our great Imam (as). We watch the steps from here with enthusiasm and wistfully:

Thousands are walking and my heart is keen, and I wonder
How I can also become part of the interior. (A poem)

Thank God, our youth have found the path: millions of people from our country, from Iraq and other countries, move in this direction. The walk of Arbaeen represents one of the extraordinary events that the Almighty God granted us and created for us: it has become an emblem.
The walk of Arbaeen existed always, but there was not this great movement: a magnificent and beautiful emblem of followers and lovers of AhlulBayt. We didn’t have this; the Almighty God blessed us and gave this to us; we should be grateful.
