The largest operation to transport Hajj pilgrims began yesterday (8th of Dhul-Hijjah) with the transfer of pilgrims to the holy sites. Hajj transportation officer Yasser Nabati said that "Sunni pilgrims will be transferred from Monday morning, and other pilgrims from noon."
In previous years, on this day, which is called the day of preparation for the start of the Hajj rituals (Yawm al-Tarwiyah), pilgrims would move to Arafat around noon, but this year, due to the hot weather and to prevent heatstroke, the operation began a few hours earlier.
Seven thousand Sunni pilgrims from our country left their hotels by bus, and about 23 thousand more pilgrims will be transferred to the holy sites today to prepare themselves for the Arafat prayer in the Arafat desert and other acts such as the Baituta in Muzdalifah, presence in the land of Mina, stoning of the Jamarat, Tawaf of Nisa, etc., which will continue for 6 days.
