The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued the following statement:

To the honorable people of Kuwait,

Your brothers in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in response to what they described as the actions of the U.S. military and its involvement in the Strait of Hormuz, carried out a drone strike targeting a large military equipment depot, a Patriot air defense system, and a hangar housing U.S. MQ-9 drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base, claiming that these targets were destroyed.

The statement further claims that IRGC forces also targeted the accommodation facilities of U.S. personnel and two helicopter hangars at Al-Adiri Camp, allegedly killing and wounding a number of U.S. personnel and inflicting significant damage on several helicopters and drones.

It also states that, in response to U.S. attacks on telecommunications towers inside Iran, Iranian forces targeted a telecommunications tower.

The statement continues:

"It is sometimes claimed that Iran, through its attacks, has violated the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of other countries. From our perspective, such a judgment is entirely incorrect. We fully respect the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of your country."

It then argues that U.S. military bases located in foreign countries operate outside the control of the host nation, stating that border authorities do not control access, U.S. military police maintain order rather than local forces, American judges exercise jurisdiction over crimes committed within the bases, U.S. law applies instead of domestic law, and even senior officials of the host country, including the defense minister, cannot enter such facilities without U.S. authorization.

The statement concludes from this that it is the United States—not Iran—that has violated Kuwait's sovereignty and territorial integrity, asserting that Iran is targeting land occupied by the U.S. military rather than Kuwaiti territory.

It further claims that, on the previous day, grieving families in Minab buried the recovered remains of schoolchildren allegedly killed on the first day of the war during what it describes as a U.S. military attack. The statement alleges that 168 students were killed and claims that some of the attacks were carried out using U.S. bases located in Kuwait. It argues that, from its perspective, Iran has the legal, religious, and logical right to target those responsible for attacks on Iran wherever they operate.

The statement ends by expressing appreciation to the people of Kuwait and concludes with the phrase:

"Victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the All-Wise."
