The Secretary of the National Authority for Children's Rights stated that 168 innocent children were martyred as a result of the US attack on the Shajre Tayyiba School in Minab City. He said: The Minister of Justice, as the Chairman of the Coordination Council of the National Authority for Children's Rights, drafted and sent a letter to the Regional Director of UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Agency) in this regard; this letter was submitted to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on March 9 to be delivered to the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa through diplomatic channels; in this letter, the Minister of Justice thanked the aforementioned mission in Tehran for its very appropriate, timely and logical action, and requested the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa to condemn this brutal and inhumane act and to officially make this statement of position.
