Colombian President Responds to Israeli Threats

Colombian President Gustavo Petro, in a post on Platform X, called for “full respect for the lives and safety of the more than 500 civilians and volunteers” aboard the flotilla. He warned that any attack on the humanitarian mission would be a clear violation of international law and a crime against humanity. The Samood flotilla, in response to the Colombian president’s stance, called the action “a true example of leadership.”

Israel Prepares to Confront

The Hebrew media outlet Kan reported that Israel is preparing to take control of the Samood flotilla’s ships. An Israeli security official also threatened last week that it would not allow the naval blockade to be broken, and that the Shayetet 13 special forces and the Israeli Navy are prepared to confront the Samood flotilla.

International Support and Composition of the Samood Fleet

The fleet includes the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the Global Gaza Movement, the Samood Caravan, and the Malaysian organization Samood Nusantara. The ships have set sail from Barcelona, and for the first time, dozens of ships are moving towards Gaza collectively. The fleet is being supported by warships from Italy and Spain and Turkish drones.

As the Samood Global Fleet approaches the Gaza coast, tensions in the region have increased and the possibility of a military clash has increased. However, activists on the fleet insist on continuing their journey, and the international community is watching the deve

Samood flotilla enters danger zone

On Wednesday morning, the Samood global flotilla, which carries humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, announced that it had entered a high-risk area; where similar flotillas have previously been attacked or seized by the Zionists. The Samood flotilla consists of more than 500 activists from 40 countries, who are heading towards Gaza with 50 ships and boats.

Increased drone activity and security threats

According to Fars, a statement published on the fleet’s Telegram account stated that drone activity over the ships has increased and reports of possible scenarios have been received in the coming hours. It was also announced that unidentified ships without lights approached some of the boats and then left the area. Those present in the flotilla say that they have taken security measures to counter any possible seizure.

Encounter with Israeli military ship

Tiago Avila, a Brazilian activist in the fleet, wrote in a post on Instagram that an Israeli military ship encountered our boats, frightened them, disrupted communication systems, and performed dangerous maneuvers around the two main ships, the Alma and Sirius. Despite the electronic malfunctions, no one was injured and the fleet continued on its course.

After the declaration of a state of emergency, the crew of the ships in the fleet chanted motivational slogans to emphasize their continued journey to Gaza. In one of the videos released from the Dir Yassin ship, the crew emphasized the need to continue their journey and maintain each other's morale with the slogan "We are not afraid of death" and singing a hymn.

The latest statement of the Samood fleet

The spokesperson for this global fleet announced moments ago: "We expect the occupying forces to attack and seize the ships from a distance of 150 nautical miles."

He stressed that if any ship is seized, the rest of the fleet will continue on its way to the Gaza Strip.

150 nautical miles from Gaza

Rose Ikma, director of the Mi Great group and a participant in the global effort to break the Gaza fence, announced that the Samood is now 150 nautical miles from Gaza, an area where, according to her, Israel routinely seizes boats. She called for an end to the blockade, an end to the genocide, and for food to be allowed into Gaza.

Amnesty International:

Countries must increase pressure to protect the Samood flotilla and end Israel's genocide and blockade of Gaza

The Samood flotilla, which is breaking the cruel blockade of the Gaza Strip, announced that it has reached 100 nautical miles from Gaza.

Al Jazeera: Activists on the Samood flotilla threw their Qurans into the sea to prevent them from being desecrated near the Gaza coast.

The Noble Character of Imam al-Askari (A.S.)

Indeed, Imam al-Askari(a.s.), like his noble fathers, was a prominent scholar and an Imam whom no one could ignore. He (A.S.) was the chief of religious scholars, an ideal of worshippers, a leader of politics and opposition, and towards whom the hearts of people were adhered with love and respect.

Inspite of the existence of the brutal terrorism of the Abbasid rule, and their political hostility towards Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.), and the continuous pursuit of authorities for him and his followers, and throwing them in prisons and jails, the caliphs of his time could not hide his personality or weaken his scientific and political role and his social status. Thus, the spiritual authority of the Holy Imam(A.S.) was imposed upon the rulers and the opponents of his time.

Ahmad bin Abdulla bin Khaqan, being an opponent of Imam al-Askari (A.S.), narrated a full description about his social and political status and position:

Ibn Shahr Ashub said:

"Hussein bin Muhammad Ash'ari and Muhammad bin Ali said: During his assembly one day the Shias and their beliefs were mentioned. Ahmad bin Abdulla bin Khaqan was in charge of estates and the land tax in Qom. He was the severe enemy of the descendants of Ali bin Abi-Talib(A.S.), who said: 'I had not seen a man from the Sayyids like al-Hassan bin Ali bin Muhammad bin Ali al-Reza(A.S.). Once, the Imam's servant visited my father and said: Abu Muhammad bin al-Rida is standing at the door. Therefore, he permitted them to enter, and welcomed him (the Imam).

Then, the Caliph made him sit down in his oratory (place of Prayer) and started to talk with him and asked for sacrifice of himself for the Imam.

When the Imam wanted to leave, he (my father) bid farewell to him. Then, I asked my father about him (the Imam) and he replied: 'I my son! This is the Imam (leader) of Shias and if the office of leadership was to be taken from our caliphs i.e. the family of al-Abbas, no one among the family of Bani Hashim would be more entitled to it than him (the Imam) becase of his great merit, his self restraint, his modesty, his fasting, his prayer, his asceticism, his devotion (to Allah), and all of his high morals and his righteousness.' "Indeed, I always asked about him, they glorified him and mentioned his charismas. He added saying: 'I have never seen anyone who is more plentiful in knowledge and manner, nor sweet in tongue than Hassan al-Askari(A.S.).

Because of the Holy Imam's great status, political position and his standing at the top of political opposition at that time, the, then, authorities not only imposed a house arrest on him, but, also forced him to attend the office of the caliphate on Mondays and Thursdays every week in the city of Samarrah, the military garrison capital city of Abbasid administration.

In this regard, one of the companions of the Holy Imam (A.S.) said:

"We held a meeting in the district of "al-Askar", then, we waited for the day of Abu Muhammad's (the Holy Imam) going by, instead, he (a.s.) sent a letter in which he wrote the following: 'No one should greet me, nor refer to me with his hand nor gestures, because you would not secure yourselves."

The great position of the Imam (a.s.) can be shown by the following historical document in which he describes the people's conditions during the Holy Imam's martyrdom:

"When the news of his (the HolyImam) martyrdom was spread, Samarra' became on uproar. The markets were empty. Bani (the family) Hashim, the military leaders, the secretaries, the judges, the attestators and the rest of the people rode to his funeral. On that day, Samarra' looked like the (day of) Resurrection.."

The Global Flotilla of Somod, an international initiative aimed at reaching the Gaza Strip to lift the Israeli blockade and deliver humanitarian aid, is about 150 nautical miles from the besieged territory and approaching a dangerous area, according to a statement released by the organization on Tuesday.

“Today, we are approaching the 150 nautical mile zone, the zone after which Israel will start abducting people from boats,” Dutch activist Russ Yakma said in a video statement.

On July 26, Israeli naval forces intercepted the aid ship Hanzala as it approached the Gaza coast and escorted it to the port of Ashdod. The ship had reached about 70 nautical miles from Gaza, exceeding the distance traveled by the Medellin, which was 110 miles before it stopped.

“I urge my government to demand safe passage,” the activist said. I call on Israel to lift the blockade, end the siege, end the genocide and allow food to enter Gaza because the Palestinian people are hungry.”

“We are about 420 kilometers (nearly 226 nautical miles) away from reaching Gaza,” the International Committee to Break the Siege of Gaza said early Tuesday via the American social media company X.

The global Somod fleet has begun live streaming some of its boats on YouTube 24 hours a day as a precaution against possible Israeli attacks.

“As we approach the dangerous ‘orange zone,’ we must keep an eye on the fleet! Witness protects,” the organization said in a statement, urging global supporters to pressure their governments and international institutions to protect and allow safe passage for its ships.

The Somod Global Fleet, consisting of about 50 ships with more than 500 activists, set out earlier this month to break the Israeli blockade and deliver humanitarian aid, especially medical aid, to the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military has killed more than 66,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the besieged area uninhabitable, leading to hunger and disease outbreaks.

The chairman of Yemen's Supreme Political Council has commended the Colombian president’s recent proposal during his UN speech to create a global army tasked with liberating Palestine from US-backed Israeli occupation and aggression.

Mahdi al-Mashat made the remarks on Tuesday, calling the proposal “courageous and historic,” and reaffirming Yemen’s readiness to provide all forms of support for the liberation of Palestine.

The Yemeni official said he, his country’s Armed Forces, and its people were “proud” of President Gustavo Petro’s stance.

He noted that Yemen was already “engaged in the war against the Zionist enemy entity,” citing Sana’a’s naval blockade on Israeli ships and vessels heading towards the occupied Palestinian territories.

Mashat also referred to the Armed Forces’ having staged numerous solidarity operations in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who have been under an Israeli war of genocide since October 2023.

The forces, the official said, had staged missile and drone strikes penetrating more than “2,000 kilometers (1,242 miles) into occupied Palestine.”

“We will continue to do so, and we welcome everyone who wishes to contribute to this military effort in defense of human values.”

Addressing the United Nations Security Council recently, Petro made an unprecedented and daring call for “a strong army of nations that do not accept genocide.”

“We must gather weapons and armies. We must liberate Palestine,” he added.

The US, the Israeli regime’s biggest ally, decided to revoke his visa afterwards, to which Petro responded, “I don’t care.”

Appreciating the Yemeni nation’s support for his stance, Petro published a post on his X account that read, “Within the Arab countries, within humanity itself.”

Observers said the appreciative remarks signaled the Colombian head of state’s acknowledgment that his idea was gaining traction throughout the globe, including among Arab nations.

The Colombian president also personally thanked Mashat in another post.

The secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement has categorically denounced US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan to end Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, characterizing it as a “formula for perpetuating the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian nation.”

In a statement released on Monday, Ziyad al-Nakhalah emphasized that the proposal, which Trump presented at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, completely reflects the occupying Tel Aviv regime’s vision.

“Israel aims to enforce, with the support of the United States, what it could not accomplish through military action. Consequently, we view the US-Israeli declaration as a catalyst for escalating conflict in the region,” the Islamic Jihad chief stated.

On Monday, Trump said "we're beyond very close" following the announcement of his plan, which entails an immediate cessation of all military operations in Gaza, and referred to Monday as a "historic day for peace."

He elaborated on the so-called peace plan that he had introduced to the Muslim and Arab leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Trump stated that the proposal includes the release of all Israeli captives within a 48-hour timeframe, the demilitarization of Gaza, and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.

The procedure will be supervised by a Board of Peace led by leaders from the Arab world, Israel, and the United States.

Trump additionally mentioned the unequivocal opposition of the Israeli prime minister to Palestinian statehood.

He underscored his complete backing for the Tel Aviv regime, stating that he would persist in the effort to make the occupied al-Quds the capital of Israel.

Trump also claimed that he was “hearing that Hamas wants to get this done too.”

Netanyahu, for his part, commended Trump and conveyed his endorsement of the initiative to conclude the conflict in Gaza.

Netanyahu has come to the UN with a handout again

Netanyahu has come to the UN with a handout again, and this time he has presented his accusations against Iran with a test question from the audience!

"Who says death to America?"

Describing the position of other countries towards the performance of the Israelis, he claimed that many officials who criticize the Israelis are secretly grateful to him. He referred to Meretz's comments and the phrase "Dirty Work."

Addressing the countries criticizing the Israelis, Netanyahu said that the Israeli government and army pursue the interests of the people and governments, and in return, they face sanctions and threats from them.

He described the "genocide" claim as false, and pointed to some cases of praise for the Israelis by some experts, and claimed that the "ratio of military and civilian casualties" in Israeli operations has been better than in many other conflicts.

Netanyahu claimed that the death of every civilian is a tragedy for Israelis and a strategy for Hamas.

The Prime Minister of the occupation regime claimed that it is Hamas that steals food from the people of Gaza and it is the Israelis who feed them. He pointed to UN statistics that reported that Hamas steals 85 percent of the aid.

In discussing the recognition of the Palestinian state by dozens of countries, Netanyahu pointed out that the Palestinians will never accept a two-state solution.

He claimed that they only want Palestine!

It should be noted that Netanyahu put forward this blatant lie in a situation where Mahmoud Abbas officially announced and in fact pointed out that the self-governing government has recognized the Israelis twice and several times.

Netanyahu officially announced that the rejection of the formation of an independent Palestinian state has been approved in the Knesset and that this is the decision of the Israeli representatives.

He announced that the great achievement of the Israelis in defeating Iran and its affiliated forces has opened the way for peace in a valuable and strange way and announced that an agreement with Syria is on the way. He announced that peace with Lebanon is also possible in this new era.

Netanyahu announced that with the complete disarmament of Hezbollah, complete peace with the Lebanese government is within reach.

At the end of his speech, the Prime Minister of the occupying regime, without mentioning the invasion of our country and the hundreds of civilian casualties and the assassination of our country's nuclear scientists, expressed confidence that the Iranian people, with the change in political conditions, will make Iran great again and that the friendship between Iran and the Israelis will begin.
